Our Fight
You've waited years for Social Security disability, with the government repeatedly denying your claim, even after an Administrative Law Judge hearing and Appeals Council review. You've been unable to work full-time, with significant financial stress and health problems. You know you're disabled, but the Social Security Administration insists otherwise. You don’t have to go through this process alone. Let Shafer Disability Law do the work and fight for you in federal court. Call/text Shafer Disability Law at (773) 234-7820 or complete the form below. You do not pay any attorney fees unless you win.
Skills and Knowledge
As the founder of Shafer Disability Law, Ryan Shafer has practiced more than 15 years in Social Security disability law. Ryan gained in-depth knowledge of the law, regulations, and medical evidence while writing disability decisions for Administrative Law Judges. After that, Ryan worked 10 years for the Social Security Administration's Office of General Counsel, handling hundreds of federal court disability cases in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Kentucky. Ryan also litigated and won several appeals before the Sixth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. In this role, Ryan developed persuasive arguments and learned to identify cases that were more likely to win. Let Ryan put this knowledge to good use in your case!

Unique Perspective
Very few federal court attorneys have previously worked for the Social Security Administration. Ryan has a unique approach and perspective that may persuade the Social Security Administration to give you another chance, or persuade federal judges that the Social Security Administration ruled incorrectly. While Ryan cannot guarantee that you will be found disabled, Ryan will fight hard for you and has a proven track record of persuading the Social Security Administration to fix its mistakes by holding a new disability hearing.
